This podcast may not be for me today, but I sure could have used this advice when my children were in elementary school. I can relate to parents or guardians who find it difficult to express themselves freely or finding the right words to say in discussion, especially of hard topics. Storytime became heavy for me and I got out of the habit of everyday reading with them.

I enjoyed reading to my children until I helped my son with his math homework and he received a bad grade. It was the only time he received a bad mark in math. He was a wiz at it. The day he asked me for help, I was surprised. I was hyped! But I got it ALL wrong and it stole my joy. After that, I didn't feel prepared or smart enough. It felt like my voice didn't matter.

I love this podcast because it advises on the "how" of beginning again when you feel that you've failed. No judgment. Just begin again.
