Hey, hey,
If you’re reading this email, chances are—you care about books.
Maybe you’ve always read to your child.
Maybe you’ve taken a break.
Maybe you’re finding your way back now.
But this new podcast?
It might not be for you.
It’s for the parent who’s unsure.
The one who loves their child deeply—but doesn’t feel like reading together is for them.
Because it feels hard. Heavy. Or simply out of reach.
🎧 What Do You Need Right Now?
A free private podcast for the parent who doesn’t know where to begin.
It’s soft. Short. Gentle.
And it walks through the real reasons parents stop reading with their kids—not with judgment, but with compassion.
Inside, they’ll find episodes like:
💛 For the Parent Who’s Too Tired to Open the Book
💛 For the Parent Who Was Never Read To
💛 For the Parent Who Wants to Feel Close Again
If this sounds like something you’d love to explore—please listen.
But if it doesn’t? I’m asking for something different:
Please share it.
Text it. Post it. Email it to the friend who’s been feeling disconnected or unsure of how to start.
You never know whose day it might shift.
Whose story it might help rewrite.

And it just might remind someone that they’re not failing.
They’re just carrying a lot.

Your voice matters. And so does your reach.
All my best,

This podcast may not be for me today, but I sure could have used this advice when my children were in elementary school. I can relate to parents or guardians who find it difficult to express themselves freely or finding the right words to say in discussion, especially of hard topics. Storytime became heavy for me and I got out of the habit of everyday reading with them.
I enjoyed reading to my children until I helped my son with his math homework and he received a bad grade. It was the only time he received a bad mark in math. He was a wiz at it. The day he asked me for help, I was surprised. I was hyped! But I got it ALL wrong and it stole my joy. After that, I didn't feel prepared or smart enough. It felt like my voice didn't matter.
I love this podcast because it advises on the "how" of beginning again when you feel that you've failed. No judgment. Just begin again.
