As a mother of a young Black daughter, author Kimberly Davis-Peters realized how most children’s books lacked diversity. Wanting a different experience from her own growing up for her daughter Ellie, Kimberly utilized a common occurrence for parents as inspiration for her debut children’s book, “Ellie & The Rainy Day.”
What could have been another boring rainy day indoors turned into a fun and creative experience for Kimberly and Ellie.
